DK 2017. \ R: NITESH ANJAAN.

HD Digital, OmeU, 58 Minuten.

„More than twenty years ago, Mette Holm read a novel by Haruki Murakami, who had yet to reach literary stardom. Since then she has spent thousands of hours translating Murakami’s puzzling and widely discussed stories. WHILE WE KISS THE SKY

Japan 2016. \ R+B+K: AYAKO MOGI, WERNER PENZEL.

Mit Fukumori Family & Shobu Gakuen Community. HD Digital, 73 Minuten, japOV/englUT.

The documentary immerses into the daily life of Shobu Gakuen in Japan, a community where so called ‘disabled and handicapped’ persons live and work together with their ‘normal’ helpers, sharing equal rights – creating music and a broad variety of artistic skills. In the course of four years Ayako Mogi & Werner Penzel have created an intimate portrait that reflects life in contemporary society and raises questions: What is ‘normal’? What is ‘creativity’? What is ‘human’?
